Dr Batra's Healthcare to open 50 homoeopathy clinics in FY'16

Dr Batra's Healthcare plans to open 50 homoeopathy clinics across the country and abroad this financial year as part of its expansion plans.
"We will be opening a total of 50 clinics during the current fiscal year. Out of these, 44 will be in India and up to 6 will be abroad," Dr Batra's Healthcare Founder Chairman Mukesh Batra told PTI.
The company has 200 clinics in four countries, he said, adding that most of them are in India.
Enquired about the business model the company will follow for expansion, Batra said: "The clinics will be a mix of company-owned and franchise models. While the clinics in metros and bigger cities are company-owned, clinics in tier III and tier IV cities are franchised."

At present, 149 clinics are company-owned while 51 are franchised, he added.
"... Apart from strengthening our numbers in the markets that we are present in, we are also looking to enter new cities such as Patna, Cuttack, Jodhpur, Meerut and Warangal in the country," Batra said.

Outside India, the clinics will be opened in the UK, the UAE and Oman, he added.
When asked about the investments for opening the clinics, Batra said: "It is around Rs 30 lakh per clinic in India and between Rs 1-2 crore abroad, without the land cost."
Boosting its expansion plans, the company is also strengthening its presence in other verticals beyond homoeopathic treatment such as Dr Batra's Aesthetic Solutions and Dr Batra's Positive Health Products.

"Right now we have 39 products targeting hair care, skin care and personal care. We will be adding more products. It is a huge growth area for us. Dr Batra's Aesthetic Solutions is another important vertical for the company," Batra said.
Apart from India, the company is present in the United Arab Emirates, the UK and Bangladesh.
