Draw of lots in Haryana for school admission

The Education Department of the Haryana government today held a draw of lots for admission of children from BPL and economically weaker families to private schools.
A total of 8,675 applications were considered for the lot, Director General of Secondary Education Department Chander Shekhar said.
For those who did not get a seat, a separate draw of lots would be held, he said.
Decision regarding vacant seats, if any, would be taken later, he added.
