Two other persons including local MLA Mahesh Sharma and Ashok Seth, Director, Cardiology Society of India were also awarded with honorary doctoral degrees in Science.
The degrees were awarded during the convocation ceremony at the Amity University here.
Speaking on the occasion, Saraswat said science and technology are the real vehicle for the development of the country and have made a real impact in every sector of the economy.
Sharma, in his address, called called upon the graduands to rise above self interest and self pursuits in order to be become a good human being and serve humanity.
Besides, six other persons were awarded honorary degrees in the field of management.
