DRI seizes two AK-47 assault rifles, arrests one person
The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has seized two AK-47 assault rifles and arrested one person in this connection, DRI sources said today.
DRI officials assisted by the Customs and the Assam Rifles personnel raided a house in Aizawl from where they seized the two AK-47 rifles and arrested one person yesterday, the sources said.
The weapons were concealed inside a gunny bag containing ginger.
The arrested person was produced before a local court here which remanded him to 14-days judicial custody.
