Drug peddler arrested in Jammu with 5,900 intoxicant capsules

An alleged drug peddler was arrested by police here and 5,900 intoxicant capsules were recovered from him, officials said.
A police patrol party stopped a person for checking on BC road here last evening as part of a crackdown on drug peddling, a police officer said.
The alleged drug peddler tried to escape but was nabbed after a chase.
On searching his belongings, police recovered 5,900 intoxicant capsules, which he was carrying without permission or any prescription, and was arrested, the official said.
A case has been registered and further investigation is ongoing, the official said.
