The directions were today issued by Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Najeeb Jung who also stressed on the need for maintenance of toilets, canteens, staff rest rooms at various bus depots, officials said.
He also directed the Chairman-cum-managing director of DTC Debashree Mukherjee to form a committee of three senior officers (including CMD, DTC) to explore solutions for the multifarious problems being faced by DTC.
During a review meeting chaired by Jung today, CMD (DTC) said that attendance monitoring through bio-metric attendance has been introduced in the DTC Headquarters.
CED has been asked to renovate in three months two abandoned rooms at the site to create a Pass Section and Public Toilet on public demand at the Narela Bus Terminal.
To overcome the shortage of drivers, the CMD pressed for the need to fill-up vacancies of retiring drivers.
