DTC bus runs over CISF personnel; 1 killed, 3 injured

A 55-year-old CISF sub-inspector was crushed to death and three other personnel were injured when a speeding DTC bus ran over them here today, police said.
The incident took place near Nirman Bhawan at around 5.45 AM when around 25 CISF personnel were waiting for their staff vehicle for their quarters after finishing their shift.
The driver of the DTC bus lost control over the vehicle and ran over the personnel standing on the footpath. It then collided with a tree.
The deceased has been identified as Lala Mohan Khillar. The injured are Assistant Sub-Inspector L N Mahanto (57), head constable C G Durgad (53) and constable Shyamal Das (40).

The four were rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital where doctors declared Khillar brought dead. Das was discharged, while Mahanto and Durgad are undergoing treatment, police said.
