Dudi's motion was accepted and referred to the Privilege Committee by Speaker Kailash Meghwal, who also did not allow the ministers to have further discussion on the matter, saying it was his ruling and members must obey.
Noisy scenes were witnessed in the House when Dudi accused the minister and the deputy chief whip of levelling personal allegations of being involved in betting against him. Dudi said that they did not let him to speak on the matter in the House despite permission from the Chair and called it a breach of privilege.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajendra Rathore wanted to speak but he was not allowed by the speaker, who said no further discussion on the matter would take place.
However, the uproar continued in the House.
Rajendra Rathore and Madan Rathore demanded permission to table the video in question.
Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria also said the video should be examined by FSL in order to make it clear whether any tempering had been done with it.
As the ruling party legislators continued with their demand of an FSL probe in the matter, Speaker Meghwal intervened and cited rules that the Chair could accept a privilege motion moved by any member for probe.
The speaker took serious note of the apparent threat to the leader of opposition in the House by the state parliamentary affairs minister.
Amid exchange of sharp barbs between both ruling and opposition legislators, the speaker adjourned the House for one hour.
When the House reassembled, Deputy Speaker Rao Rajendra Singh took up the listed business.
Later, the state parliamentary affairs minister demanded permission to table the CD/pen drive containing the video of Dudi.
After hearing both sides, the deputy speaker later allowed the minister to table the video in the House.
Minister Rajendra Rathore and the deputy chief whip had on last Friday accused Dudi of being involved in betting(satta) while referring to the video.
