Dustin Hoffman thinks cinema is in the worst state

Academy award-winning actor Dustin Hoffman believes cinema is in the worst state it has ever been, while television is getting better.
The 77-year-old six times Golden Globes winner said it is really tough to do a good movie with less amount of money these days, reported The Independent.
"I think right now television is the best that it's ever been and I think that it's the worst that film has ever been - in the 50 years that I've been doing it, it's the worst.
"It's hard to believe you can do good work for the little amount of money these days," the actor said.

Known as one of Hollywood's greatest living actors, Hoffman spoke about how they made a movie like "The Graduate" a comedy-drama directed by Mike Nichols which went on to become one of the ground-breaking films of that era with an excellent cast and less budget.
"We did 'The Graduate' and that film still sustains, it had a wonderful script that they spent three years on, and an exceptional director with an exceptional cast and crew, but it was a small movie, four walls and actors, that is all, and yet it was 100 days of shooting," Hoffman said.
