Johnson turned 43 on May 2 and Varun took to twitter to wish his inspiration.
"Happy Birthday big man. My inspiration, the most electrifying man in all of entertainment," Varun posted on twitter.
The "Furious 7" star also took to the micro-blogging site to thank the young actor.
"Thank you bud! And thank you India for all the birthday love," Johnson tweeted.
Varun will be next seen in dance film "ABCD 2".
