E Singhbhum DC asks mining officials to stop encroachment of

Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum distirct, Amit Kumar today directed the mining department officials to initiate immediate action with the help of the police to stop encroachment and illegal construction on the land of the department.
Kumar, who chaired a meeting of law and order and Mining Task Force meeting held at the district headquarters here today, sought details of issues related to mining department and ordered the Mining Task Force to initiate action to demolish all illegal mining units.
The concerned officials informed the DC that a FIR had been registered against couple of persons for the illegal act.
Kumar also asked for constituting a team comprising of Circle Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mining department and Factory Inspector to check illegal activities in Dalma Wildlife area here.
Referring to the pollution level, Kumar sought tabling of action-taken report to control pollution after officials informed him that out of 61 brick-kiln, 45 had procured clearances while 16 were yet to get it.
Kumar also sought report of power theft, water scarcity, illicit liquor from the concerned department while directing them to initiate necessary action in this regard.
The DC, who was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police Anoop T Mathew, wondered to the Drug Inspector how the youths were procuring medicines without doctor's prescription and using it for intoxication.
The senior officials have asked the drug inspector to conduct raids in those medical stores, who sell such medicines as syrups and tablets without doctor's prescription to youth using it for intoxication, and take proper action against them.
