While the EC has seized Rs 29.24 lakh cash in the 91 constituencies that went to poll today, 12.11 lakh litres of liquor was also seized in these constituencies.
Voting for the third phase of parliamentary elections was held today in 91 constituencies spread across in 14 states, representing nearly a fifth of the 543-seat in the Lok Sabha.
According to an EC official, maximum cash was seized from Andhra Pradesh at Rs 118 cr. Rs 21 lakh was seized from Bihar, which was the least amount to be captured from any state.
According to EC data, Rs 9.32 crore was seized in Uttar Pradesh, Rs 1.71 cr in Madhya Pradesh, Rs 1.30 crore in Odisha and Rs 41 lakh in Chandigarh in the run up to the elections.
