EC warns Hema, Jayant for violating poll code

Two high-profile candidates from Mathura Lok Sabha seat, BJP's Hema Malini and Jayant Chaudhary of Rashtriya Lok Dal, have been warned by the Election Commission for violating model code of conduct.
Cine actress Hema Malini and Chaudhary, RLD chief Ajit Singh's son, have been issued warning by the EC for getting published advertisements in newspapers without the certification of Media Certification and Monitoring Committee {MCMC}, District Magistrate-cum-Returning Officer Vishal Chauhan said today.
Both the candidates have been instructed not to repeat this mistake in future and get their advertisements duly certified by MCMC, three days prior to publishing, Chauhan added.
