ECOR to run extra trains to clear winter rush of passengers

With a view to clear additional rush of passengers during winter season, the East Coast Railway has decided to run eight pairs of weekly and bi-weekly special trains to different destinations in the country by creating more than one lakh eighty thousand additional berths.
The selected eight pairs of winter special trains are Bhubaneswar-Bangalore Cant, bi-weekly super fast SUVIDHA Express, Bhubaneswar-Patna Weekly Special, Puri-Santragachi Weekly Special, Bhubaneswar-Rangapara North (Assam) Weekly Special, Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Weekly Special, Visakhapatnam-Tirupati Weekly Special, Visakhapatnam- Krishnarajpuram bi-weekly SUVIDHA Express and Visakhapatnam- Kollam Weekly Sabarmalai Special trains, an official release said.
Apart from this, Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Special, Visakhapatnam-Tirupati Special, Visakhapatnam-Krishnarajpuram Weekly Special and Visakhapatnam-Kollam Sabarmalai Weekly Special trains are plying during the period from ECoR jurisdiction.

Besides, a number of special trains have also been planned to ply between different destinations of the country through East Coast Railway jurisdiction during this Winter and will also create more berths from ECoR.
Important regular trains have been planned to be augmented with additional coaches during the period by creating additional berths, it said.
