"There is no question of defreezing the accounts of East Bengal and Mohun Bagan as requested by them," a senior ED official told PTI.
He said the agency had sealed the accounts of the two clubs for 'some particular reason'. "So the question of defreezing them did not arise," the official said.
While money can be credited in their accounts post freezing, no amount could be debited, he said.
The accounts of the two premier football clubs in the city were frozen by the agency as Saradha ponzi scheme funds were deposited in them, investigations into the scam had revealed.
