Edible and non-edible oils decline on lower demand

Refined palmolein declined at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following lower demand from retailers.

Elsewhere, castor seeds bold, castor oil commercial also dropped further owing to reduced demand from soaps and shippers industries.

Linseeds oil eased further due to lower demand from paint and allied industries.

While groundnut oil ruled steady in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.

In the edible segment, refined palmolein softened by a rupee per 10 kg to Rs 731 and groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 850 per 10 kg.

Moving to the non-edible section, castor seeds bold fell by Rs 35 per 100 kg to Rs 4,115 as against last Saturday's closing level of Rs 4,150 and castor oil commercial moved down by Rs 7 per 10 kg to Rs 853 from Rs 860.

Linseeds oil edged down by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 790 as compared with Rs 793 previously.
