Edible and non-edible oils ease on poor offtake

Refined palmolein eased further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following poor offtake from retail buyers.

Elsewhere, castor seeds bold, castor oil commercial also weakened further owing to reduced demand from soaps and shippers industries.

Linseeds oil fell further due to weak demand from paint and allied industries.

While groundnut oil ruled steady in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.

In the edible segment, refined palmolein softened by a Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 715 from last Friday's closing level of Rs 718 and groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 850 per 10 kg.

Moving to the non-edible section, castor seeds bold fell by Rs 45 per 100 kg to Rs 4,080 as against Rs 4,125 and castor oil commercial moved down by Rs 9 per 10 kg to Rs 846 from Rs 855.

Linseeds oil moved down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 780 as compared with Rs 785 previously.
