Edible oil declines on lower demand, global cues

Groundnut oil declined further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to lower demand from retailers on the back ample supply positions.
Refined palmolein also eased owing to lack of retail buying support on the back of bullish Malaysian cues.
In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold, castoroil commerical and linseed oil all maintained a stable trend in the absence of any major buying activity.
The castorseeds futures rate for today were unavailable.
In the edible segment, groundnutoil dropped by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 760 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 770 and Refined palmolein moved-down by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 570 as compared to Rs 572 previously.
Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold, castor oil and Linseedoil all closed unchanged at Rs 3,975 per 100kg, Rs 825 and Rs 840 per 10kg.
