Groundnut oil prices dropped further in an otherwise lacklustre Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on reduced demand from stockists and retailers amid ample arrivals from producing regions.
Refined palmolein also declined due to lack of retail offtake.
In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseed oil maintained a stable trend in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the edible segment, groundnutoil dipped Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 960 from Friday's closing level of Rs 970 and refined palmolein eased Rs 4 per 10 kg to Rs 483 from Rs 487.
Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 4,100 per 100kg, Rs 850 per 10kg and Rs 795 per 10kg, respectively.
