Elsewhere, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial also dropped due to poor offtake from soaps and shippers industries.
Meanwhile, linseeds oil ruled steady in absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil eased by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 850 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 860 and refined palmolein softened by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 633 as against Rs 635.
Moving to non-edibles section, castorseeds bold fell by Rs 50 per 100 kg to Rs 4,200 as against Rs 4,250 and castor oil commercial moved down by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 870 from Rs 880 yesterday.
