"A piece of land measuring about 5,000 square yards is identified for the purpose and a preliminary estimate amounting to Rs 7 crore has been prepared by the engineering department," said a senior official of East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC).
As per official figures, a total of 271 cases of dog bite are reported every day in the national capital with areas under EDMC being most affected.
A total of 98,965 cases of dog bites were reported during the last one year in Delhi.
