Jasvantsinh Sumanbhai Bhabhor, who today took charge as the Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, listed education, health and irrigation facilities for the disadvantaged community as his top priority.
A member of parliament from Gujarat, Bhabhor conducted an elaborate puja at the office and invoked the blessings of the deities before occupying the seat.
"I am grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah for giving me this responsibility. Better education, health and irrigation facilities for the community will be my top priority," said Bhabhor.
Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Jual Oram was not present when the new MoS took charge.
