"Some people deem education in Indian culture and refinement as saffronisation. Irrespective of these objections, we should ensure that important aspects of our culture and refinement are included in education. We are committed to continue with this task," Vala said.
Inaugurating the centenary celebrations of Vivekananda Degree and Pre-University College at Puttur near here yesterday, Vala said the country needs to carry forward the education and cultural refinement inherited by us from our forefathers to the next generation.
The governor, on the occasion, commended the contributions of Vivekananda College which has provided education to more than 30,000 students so far.
