The world's leading trade fair Hannover Messe has tied up with EEPC India to put together a global sourcing exhibition in Mumbai this December.
"We have signed a letter of intent for working out the modalities and will be signing the agreement in the next 45 days," engineering exporters' body EEPC India Chairman Anupam Shah told PTI.
He said the collaboration with Hannover Messe will cover the industrial supplies segment of EEPC India's Engineering Sourcing Show (IESS) and help attract participation from the world's top companies.
IESS is the flagship global annual event of EEPC India (formerly Engineering Export Promotion Council). The fair is supported by the Commerce Ministry and the December show marks its fourth edition.
International exhibitions play a key role in enhancing engineering exports which are likely to touch USD 62 billion in the current fiscal from over USD 56 billion in 2012-13. The rising trend is expected to continue next year as well with pick up in the US and European economies.
