Eight arrested for stealing shuttering plates

Eight persons have been arrested for allegedly stealing shuttering plates from a construction site near Mukand Pur flyover, police said today.
The accused had allegedly robbed 8 shuttering plates each weighing around 35 Kg from the construction site, at around 2.15 am on May 29, said Vijay Singh, DCP(north west).
The watchmen on the site Surender and Pappulal told police that ten boys had reached there and robbed the steel plates by cornering them on knife point, he said.
The cops zeroed on three suspects and arrested them. The suspects led them to the godown of a scrap dealer from where the stolen property was recovered, said the officer.

Information provided by the trio led to the arrest of five more accused. The accused admitted their involvement in stealing construction material from big sites, he added.
