Burglars held hostage an elderly couple for hours at their home in a Jaipur neighbourhood and decamped with cash, jewellery and a car early today, a police official said.
Police suspect the involvement of the domestic help who worked at the couple's residence near Gopalpura bypass, Shipra Path police station sub-inspector Bhanwar Singh said.
The burglars made off with Rs 2.5 lakh cash, jewellery and Gupta's car.
"A crime branch team has been deputed to investigate the matter," DCP Crime, Jaipur, Vikas Pathak said.
