Elections to municipal bodies to be held on April 22

Elections to Navi Mumbai and Aurangabad municipal corporations as well as seven municipal councils would be held on April 22, the state election commission announced here today.
State Election Commissioner J S Saharia announced that elections to municipal councils of Kulgaon-Badlapur, Ambernath, Rajgurunagar, Varangaon, Bhokar, Wadi and Mowad would be held, along with bye-elections to ten vacant seats of other municipal councils.
The process of filing of nominations would begin from March 31, while scrutiny of papers would be held on April 8, and the last date to withdraw nominations would be April ten, he said.
Counting of votes would be taken up on April 23, he said.
