Encounter in Uri in North Kashmir

An encounter broke out today between militants and security forces near the Line of Control in Uri area of North Kashmir's Baramulla district.
The exchange of fire started at around 7 AM after security forces launched a search operation in Qazimar area following information about presence of militants there, an army officer said.
There was no immediate report of any casualties, he said.
