"Notices have been served to 19,559 encroachers," Wakf Minister Naseem Khan said, replying to a query by Vijay Girkar (BJP) and others.
It is a fact that government offices are located on 115 wakf properties in the state, the minister said, in response to Girkar's query.
The minister said steps are being taken to ensure that there are no further encroachments on the Wakf land. Record of all wakf properties has been computerised, he said.
Shiv Sena MLC Diwakar Raote said it was a matter of concern that the Wakf board is still without a chairman.
