Endangered slow loris rescued by teacher

A female slow Loris, an endangered species was rescued by a teacher in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh and handed over to the forest authorities for rehabilitation.
Pokde Yomgam, the head master of of Nomuk secondary school rescued the animal from his village and handed it over to the divisional forest officer (DFO) Aalo, a press release informed here today.
This is for the second time Yomgam had rescued an endangered species. Last year, he had handed over one bear cub to the forest department official.
The endangered species would be handed over to the Chief Wildlife Warden, Itanagar after examining her health by the veterinary doctor, the release said.

Meanwhile, Nyali Ete, the DFO has appreciated the efforts and love for wild life shown by Yomgam and appealed every citizen to emulate his noble work and attitude, the release added.
