Engineer dies, 3 injured as transformer explodes

An engineer was killed and three other persons were injured when a transformer at a grid sub station exploded in Jhunjhunu district, around 170 km from here.
Feeder manager Anil Jhanjhadia, an assistant engineer, along with two technicians was doing some technical work when the transformer exploded yesterday, leaving Jhanjhadia dead, police said today.
Both the technicians, Naresh and Deshraj, and a local man were also injured in the incident, they said, adding they were being treated at the district hospital.
The victim's body has been handed over to his family members, police added.
