England knock Pakistan out of World Cup

A dominant England engineered Pakistan's ouster from the women World Twenty20 with a comprehensive 68-run win in a Group B match, here today.
Pakistan needed to win today's contest to remain in semifinal race but their defeat has sent West Indies in the final-four.
It was England's fourth straight win while Pakistan won two and lost as many matches. West Indies finished second in Group B with three wins.
England posted a challenging 148 for five, built around skipper Charlotte Edwards' unbeaten 77. Along with fellow opener Tammy Beaumont (37) she gave a flying start to her team as they raised a 68-run stand in quick time.
Charlotte lost a few teammates from the other end but she she kept scoring at a good pace, steering the side to a winning total.
Pakistan's off-spinner Nida Dar took three wickets for 21 runs in her four overs while pacer Asmavia Iqbal took the other two wickets.
England were impressive when they came out to defend as they bundled out Pakistan for a mere 80 in 17.5 overs.
Only four Pakistani batswoman managed double-digit scores with Nida Dar's 16 being the highest.
Laura Marsh took three wickets and conceded only 12 runs in her four overs.
