English question paper for the annual examination of Delhi University's School of Open Learning (SOL) was allegedly leaked on messaging application WhatsApp, a day after the varsity's Economics paper was reported to have been leaked in the same manner.
The college authorities, however, denied that the papers were being leaked, saying these are rumours and no official complaint has been received yet.
"The examination starts at 3 PM and students already had the question paper in the morning. We got to know when it was being circulated through Whatsapp," a student who appeared for the examination said on the condition of anonymity.
Another student said, "Earlier we thought that a fake paper was being circulated but when we got the question paper, it was exactly the same."
Chairperson of the Campus of Open Learning and governing body of SOL, C S Dubey said, "No one has approached us with any complaints of paper leak. These are all rumours."
He maintained that the paper could have been circulated on WhatsApp after the examination started.
"It is very much possible that once the paper was distributed any candidate would have walked out and sent screenshots. It cannot be a case of leak," Dubey said.
"If we receive any official complaint from the students the matter will be investigated," he added.
Yesterday, there were reports of question paper leak for Economics for B.Com third year examination.
The OSD at varsity's examination department which deals with complaints of this nature, wasn't available for his comment on the issue.
In November 2014, 5,000 students from SOL were caught indulging in unfair means during their annual exams.
