Haryana Government today directed senior police officials and deputy commissioners of the state to make necessary arrangements to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the two-day strike by discom workers from June 29.
The unions of workers of Haryana Power Utilities have threatened to go on the state-wide strike on June 29 and 30 to protest against "outsourcing" of jobs at sub-divisions.
The deputy commissioners and DGP have been directed to hold meetings in this regard with SSPs and Superintending Engineers of the Power Department, an official spokesman said here.
They have also been asked to draw an action plan to deal with any untoward incident by miscreants during the strike.
Instructions issued in this regard by the Power and Home Departments of the state government from time to time may be followed, he added.
The call for strike has been given by the All Haryana Power Corporation Worker Union (Head Office Hisar) and HSEB Worker's Union (Head Office Bhiwani).
