Minister in-charge for Home Vijay Chaudhary read the government statement in the House over murder of the local BJP leader yesterday by armed assailants in the capital.
Leader of Opposition Nand Kishore Yadav and other BJP MLAs protested against the reply by minister in-charge of Home and demanded a statement from the Chief Minister who holds the Home portfolio.
As nothing was audible due to din in the House, the minister laid the statement in the House.
It said the police acquired CCTV footage installed on a temple near the incident site near Daldali under Kadam Kuan police station.
Three prime accused including former corporator Panna Lal Gupta, his son Darshan Kumar and daughter Jyoti Gupta have been arrested, the statement said.
Hectic search is going on for other accused by a police team led by City Superintendent of Police Chandan Kushwaha, he added.
The CCTV footage has been widely publicised with the help of media to nab three armed assailants caught in camera murdering Kumar, he said.
The BJP members today once again protested in the Assembly the murder of the party leader in the capital.
