57-year-old Pritam lived with his family at Subhash Marg locality here. We have come to know that he was a habitual drinker, MG Road police station in-charge Manoj Ratnakar said.
On Sunday afternoon, Pritam fell sick apparently after consuming liquor.
He was made to rest in a room on the fourth floor of the house. At night, the family members found him unresponsive and informed the police, he said.
Pritam was rushed to government-run Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital where doctors declared him dead, Ratnakar said.
Further investigation was on in the matter, he added.
