Ex-RBI Dy Governor urges better coordination among regulators

Former RBI Deputy Governor K C Chakrabarty today called for higher coordination among regulators to check any possible lapse in regulations.
"We need higher coordination among regulators," Chakrabarty said at a book launch function here.
Chakrabarty also said shadow banking needs to be checked through proper regulations in the country.
Shadow banking in financial parlance is the collection of non-bank financial intermediaries that provide services similar to traditional commercial banks.
