Lt General Jagbir Singh, the General Officer Commanding of the Andhra, Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Kerala Area of the Army addressed the participants highlighting various projects available for the welfare of ex servicemen in Tamilnadu and Puducherry, a communication said.
The Lt General recollected the sacrifices made by ex servicemen and also stressed that their welfare is the main focus of the Chief of the Army Staff.
Brigadier S.Suresh Kumar, Commandant, Madras Regimental Centre welcomed those present. Deputy collector of Puducherry S.Parthiban assured that grievances of ex-servicemen were being settled expeditiously in the Union Territory.
