"Sixty-two-year-old Dr Bimal Halder who was superintendent of Panihati State General Hospital was seriouly injured in the accident. They were returning from a conference at Titagarh last night and the accident occurred on BT Road," C Sudhakar, DC DD of Barrackpore Police Commissionarate, said.
They were admitted to a local private hospital, he said.
