The state government of Himachal Pradesh expects all its officials to work with total commitment and dedication, and no laxity would be tolerated in this regard, an official spokesperson said today.
The spokesman was referring to the recent transfer of the deputy commissioner of Solan district and the superintendent of police of Baddi over a goof-up during the visit of the governor and the chief minister to the Baddi area of the district.
"The government is committed to providing transparent, clean and accountable administration to the people and expects every officer and official of the state to work with total commitment, zeal and dedication and no laxity would be brooked on this account," he said here.
The official said during the recent visit of the governor and the chief minister to Baddi area, it was found that there was a lack of coordination at the highest level.
He said last minute changes were made in the scheduled programme but the district administration failed to ensure proper coordination, which led to complete mismanagement and caused great inconvenience to the general public.
The spokesman said the mismanagement was viewed seriously at the highest level of the government and the officers responsible for it were transferred.
