Presiding over a meeting of HUDA regarding the Rajiv Gandhi Education City here, he said a dedicated officer should be appointed to ensure speedy completion of this project.
He made it clear that state government is committed to providing quality education and standard will not to be compromised at any cost.
The residential area should also be developed into education city, besides offering the sites for construction of hotels and restaurants, the CM said.
Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) would soon float 11 more plots for allotment to reputed educational institutes to set up their campuses in the Rajiv Gandhi Education City, an official release said.
Apart from this, plots were also allotted for setting up of National Law University, Extension Campus of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and Tourism University.
Khattar was apprised that an amount of Rs 194.52 crore has so far been spent on various development works, including construction of roads, water supply, sewerage, electrical ducts, community building and other maintenance works, in the Rajiv Gandhi Education City.
