In course of search operation in extremist-affected areas, the security personnel stumbled on explosives kept hidden at Taledih village on Maneka-Serendag Road, Superintendent of Police, Anup Birtherary said.
Birtheray said the security personnel, comprising District Armed Police and CRPF, recovered a cylinder bomb weighing 7.5 kgs, three hand grenades, one country-made pistol and 60 pieces of iron.
The explosives have been defused in the jungle, he said adding that the explosives were kept hidden to harm the security personnel.
