"Such was his influence that during (1962) China war, on his appeal for funds and gold, maximum collection of gold was from Chandrapur after Mumbai," Fadnavis said while inaugurating the 'Karamveer Kannamwar Cultural Hall'at Mul in Chandrapur district.
Fadnavis also unveiled Kannamwar's statue in presence of Union Minister Hansraj Ahir and state Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar.
"Even though Dadasaheb was from Congress, we being in opposition fought for his memorial. I'm glad that as a Chief Minister, I got to unveil this memorial", said Fadnavis.
