In a statement here, he said even those who scored more than 95 per cent in the Plus two exams had failed in the Engineering examination, which only proved that the school curriculum in the state promoted the ability to memorise rather than promoting ability to comprehend, imagine and find solutions to the Problem by analytical means.
Under the present school education system, one can score 100 per cent if he able to cram the notes given in school. The curriculum did not develop students' ability to imagine, think and test analytical skills.
It is high time the government woke up and frame the syllabus to develop students into thinkers and creative citizens, he said.
