Fake currency seized; 3 held

Three persons were arrested after fake currency with face value of Rs 3,300 were allegedly seized from their possession on the outskirts of the city.
Acting on a tip-off, the three accused, who were on a motorcycle, were intercepted yesterday on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway at Jhajjar Kotli, 35-km from here, police said today.
The trio was arrested after the face currency was seized from their possession.
Harmeet Singh, Manjit Singh and Sanjay Kumar were on way to Katra from Jammu when they were arrested, police said.
A case has been registered, they said, adding, the matter is being probed further.
