Fake notes seized

Fake currency notes with a
face value of about Rs 93,000 were today seized near here and one person arrested in this connection.
Murugan was arrested after a coconut vendor complained about the Rs 500 note he had given to him.
Police found fake notes with face value of Rs 2,200 in his possession. On being questioned, he claimed that he got the money from one Lakshmanan, police said.
When police raided Lakshmanan's house, they found counterfeit notes with face value of Rs 90,000, police said.
Police also seized equipment used for printing the fake notes.
Lakshmanan is absconding.
