The deceased, Sunita Vihswakarama, locked herself in the toilet in her house and immolated herself yesterday, they said.
By the time Sunita could be taken out, she was already dead. Family discord seemed to be the reason behind the incident, police said.
Body has been sent for post-mortem, they said, adding that further investigation is under way.
