"We have handed over the body of Tarique to a social organisation (Anjuman Rafay Ummat) for performing last rites under police supervision," Patna Rail Superintendent of Police Upendra Kumar Sinha said.
The decision to handover Tarique's body to the social organisation was taken after the expiry of the mandatory 72 hours for family members to turn up and claim the body.

Tarique died at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences hospital here on October 31 night. He had splinters, doctors suspected hard iron pieces in his brain and could not be operated on in that condition, IGIMS Director Arun Kumar Singh has said.
Tarique was caught while he was running away from a toilet at platform number 10 of Patna Junction railway station after the first of the six bombs exploded there a few hours before BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's rally at Gandhi Maidan on October 27.
Some telephone numbers and documents were recovered from him on the basis of which the entire planning by the Indian Mujahideen, the terrorist group suspected to be behind the blasts, was uncovered.
In addition to Tarique, five others were killed in the serial blasts which left more than 80 injured.
Two other persons arrested in this case from Bihar are Imtiaz Ansari and Tabish Nyaz alias Arshad Ansari.
