injured in Gopalganj disrict of Bihar after unidentified miscreants threw acid on him during the wee hours yesterday, police said.
The incident occured at Batarde village and the farmer was identified as Paras Chaurasia (50) who suffered burns due to acid.
Barauli Station House Officer (SHO) Munna Kumar said a FIR has been lodged on the basis of a written complaint by Chaurasia.
"He has alleged that he was sleeping on the outside verandah of his house when some people threw acid on him. He was unable to identify anybody, nor had any enmity with anyone. We are investigating the matter," the SHO said.
