Farmer shot dead in UP

A 40-year-old farmer was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Ghari village here, police said.
"Upender, a farmer, had gone to his fields where some unidentified miscreants came and shot him. He died on the spot," said Alok Priyadershi, Superintendent of Police (Rural).
The police said that they were still searching for the attackers.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered and Upender's body has been sent for postmortem.
